Memorial Day
Kira went swimming for her first time today at Grandpa's house. She cried the second she touched the pool water, so Prescott took her to the warmer jacuzzi water.

For our five-year anniversary, in honor of the "wood" anniversary, I planned a short trip to the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, home of the oldest trees on earth.

Kira's Six-Month Appointment
This morning Pres took Kira to Dr. Raker for her six-month appointment. (Unfortunately, I was home in bed with a migraine.) Kira weighed in at 15 pounds, 10 ounces (47th percentile) and measured 26 inches long (64th percentile). She also received her third round of immunizations: hepatitis B, Rotavirus (to prevent stomach flu), DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis); Hib (to protect against meningitis), pneumococcal (to protect against severe bacterial infections, ear infections, and meningitis), and polio.
